So, I have hit a weight loss “plateau” for sure. I have been working on this since mid-September and I have lost over 30 pounds in that timeframe. I am THRILLED with that progress, for sure. However, I still have a ways to go and have been a little “stuck” for the past couple of weeks.
The most frustrating part of that is that I have REALLY upped my workouts. I work out no less than 5 days a week and I have increased the intensity dramatically. Today I decided that the only way to get over this hump is probably to really start COUNTING calories. I mean, I don’t eat a lot by any stretch but seeing as how something is keeping me at the same weight I am at, I must be doing something wrong. Hence, I have started a food journal to kind of keep myself in check and very accountable.
I think I am going to have to go back to VERY limited carbs\sugars as well. I seem to really lose faster that way. It’s a journey, right? I mean, we HAVE to eat…and sometimes making good choices in that department really sucks! J
I am so very proud of my progress thus far, and I see such wonderful changes in this old body of mine. That alone is very motivating! Just want to keep the losses going so that I can get where I need to be and only have to worry about maintaining/keeping it off!
Life is good though, I can’t complain. If this is my biggest worry, I will take it!!!
To quote Thomas Jefferson: “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.”
Darn tootin, Thomas J!!
